It gives us great pleasure to bring you our third instalment in the Bokah Mix series; may we re-introduce Bokah favourites, Atlas. The up-and-comers from Derby touch down with a sumptuous fifty-minute mix that rolls through the luscious textures of synth-heavy house and R&B tinged garage beats, that manages to mesmerise and move you in perfect unison.
Since featuring the duo earlier in the year with a free download of their track ‘Lights’, the boys have gone from strength to strength. Being firm favourites across the blogosphere, they’ve gained much deserved attention from many, one of whom was the bass-heavy American producer, Kastle, who subsequently signed them to his yet-to-release Symbols imprint. We can expect to see both of Atlas’ tracks, ‘Lights’ and ‘This Is’ getting an official release via Symbols in the very near future. Watch this space.
What’s more, the boys were hot in the running to secure a headline slot at this weekend’s Gottwood Festival in Wales, which was decided by fans who voted on their favourite fresh-to-the-scene act. Although they just missed out on the headline slot, they played this afternoon at The Stables which later sees Disclosure and Ifan Dafydd take to the stage. But if you’re not lucky enough to be there, sit back and enjoy this mix instead.
With the live aspect of their act still in development (keep your eyes firmly peeled on Bokah), and their debut EP on the way, you can be sure to expect nothing less than big things from these guys.
